‘The Flash’ Season 1 Episode 10 Spoilers: Barry Travels Back in Time to Identify His Mother’s Murderer

After a brief winter hiatus, 'The Flash' will be finally returning with Season 1, Episode 10 on The CW on Tuesday, Jan. 20, with Barry Allen (portrayed by Grant Gustin) confronting impending threats to the Central City.

Recently, talking to TV Line, 'The Flash' executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teased that in the upcoming episodes of the show, fans will see Barry eventually detecting the anonymous person whom he came across in the mid-season finale. Christian Today reports that in the second half of the season, he will also come to know who actually killed his mother by traveling backwards in time.

Kreisberg said, "There's an unexpected, accidental time travel coming up and it is played both for hilarity and darkness. It happens in an episode we're really excited it - the first Weather Wizard episode with Liam McIntyre."

It is expected that the supposed "time travel" sequence is likely to divulge a clear picture regarding the manner in which Barry's mom was actually murdered. On the basis of what was revealed at the Television Critics Association winter tour last week, viewers will be seeing this incident from the view point of the Reverse Flash.

It is worth mentioning here that earlier, during 'The Flash' mid-season finale, Barry has come across the figure, who is thought to be the Reverse Flash. At that point of time, he did not have any idea about this unkown figure or his place of origin. Meanwhile, actor Tom Cavanagh revealed that actually his character Dr. Harrison Wells is the Reverse Flash.

When asked if Barry would continue to trust Dr. Wells in the future episode of 'The Flash', Gustin just said that "Barry's trust and respect for his mentor remains."

Gustin said, "Yeah, when we come back with episode ten, it's still 100%. Barry has no other option or reason for anything else at this point. Wells has been there for him. They've had their moments and they both can be emotional characters but Barry still trusts Wells with his life at this point, when we come back."
