'The Fosters' Season 4B Premiere News, Spoilers: Jesus' Fate Revealed; Mariana Contemplates About Her Life
Mariana is going to cause trouble in the upcoming season of "The Fosters."
It can be recalled that in season 4A, Jesus collapsed after Nick punched him. The commotion started when Mariana took Jesus' ADHD medicine with alcohol, causing her to have hallucinations. That time, she was heartbroken because she had learned that Mat might leave for Boston to transfer to another school. While she was inebriated, she thought that Nick, who was then under house arrest, was coming for her. Nick thought that Mariana was in danger so he came to see her. Unfortunately, Jesus thought Nick was attacking Mariana so they fought. In the end, Nick punched Jesus and Jesus fell unconscious.
According to executive producer Peter Paige, Mariana will contemplate on a lot of things next season. Since she decided to go back to Mat, her life has been a total wreck that she started to depend on Jesus' medication to forget all her troubles. She never would have thought that Nick was actually capable of doing what he did in the season 4A finale.
Paige revealed that Mariana's predicament could also apply to Brandon and his wrong decisions.
"Brandon and Mariana are the two characters at the end of the season who are really aware of the choices they've made and the consequences they're paying because of those choices. They're the two who are really having to look at what they've done. I'm not sure everybody else is in that same place just yet," said Paige in his interview with TV Line.
"The Fosters" season 4B premieres on January 31, 8:00 P.M. on Freeform.
