'The Grand Tour' Episode 3 Review, Recap: Jeremy, Richard And James Touring Italy In Flashy Sports Cars

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May toured Italy in flashy sports cars in "The Grand Tour" episode 3, making it one of the best episodes of the show yet, according to critics.

The trio named their action-packed trip to Italy "The Premise of Opera, Art and Donuts." The adventure was broadcast from Yorkshire seaside town Whitby, which featured some footage of the trio's Italian tour with their fans. Apparently, the fans were so delighted to see their cars again.

The episode featured the super cars of Clarkson, Hammond and May, who brought with them their Aston Martin DB11, Rolls Dawn and Dodge Challenger Hellcat, respectively. As they embarked on their own mini tour, they exchanged their usual teasing and stunts.

Somewhere in Florence, Clarkson, Hammond and May pulled off some doughnuts. Unfortunately, Clarkson and May were overshadowed early on by Hammond, who was on his Dodge Challenger Hellcat. After pulling off the jaw-dropping doughnuts in Florence, the trio went on to hit the Mugello racing circuit.

Viewers of the show, particularly those on Twitter, claimed that episode 3 was the best yet, especially after the mixed reviews received by the first two episodes.

The episode also tried to explain the inspiration behind the name of the show, "The Grand Tour," as the trio embarked on their mini tour in and around Tuscany. The presenters revealed that the original Grand Tour was the 18th century version of the Cannonball Run.

Elsewhere in the episode, Hammond got cornered by crowds of people in an Italian city. This happened after May and Clarkson arranged for a "stampede" on Twitter without him knowing.

By the end of the episode, the celebrity who met his sticky end was Simon Pegg. He tumbled from a bridge and floundered around in the water, drawing laughs from the crowd.
