The Justice Conference with Special Guests Bernice King and Jars Of Clay Are Set to Honor Martin Luther King Through Human RIghts Discussions
The Justice Conference is a two-day yearly event that centers on justice-related topics such as human trafficking, poverty, slavery, HIV/AIDS, and human rights. This year it will be held at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles as well as satellite locations across America on February 21-22, which will be attended by one of the children of the late civil right leaders Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and his wife Corretta Scott King.
Dr. Bernice King will be in attendance among the nation's prominent justice and human rights activists as a speaker at the fourth installment of the yearly conference, which was prearranged by World Relief, the philanthropic branch of the National Association of Evangelicals.
"As we approach Martin Luther King Day, I'm reminded of and inspired by this great man's fight against injustice," said Stephan Bauman, president of World Relief in a press release. "His message is just as relevant today as it was 50 years ago- 'Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter'. The Justice Conference is a place to discuss human rights injustices like slavery, urban poverty and HIV/AIDS, and inspire the social change that Dr. King sought to achieve so many years ago. I'm humbled and honored to have his message live on through his daughter Bernice at this year's conference."
