'The Lego Batman Movie' Trailer News: Batman Hurts Joker's Feelings In New Trailer
The new extended trailer for the upcoming "The Lego Batman" movie shows Batman hurt the Joker's feelings.
In the trailer, Joker gets every villain he can find to assemble a supervillain team in response to the cold treatment of Batman of their hero-villain relationship. However, Batman also opens up, shares his feelings and gathers together a Bat-team to have the villains back to where they came from.
The new trailer is also packed with Batman jokes, mostly subtle. On the other hand, some are full-on nerd, with Batman even rubbing his butt against classic Batman vehicles from the 1940's and 50's.
"The Lego Batman" is the first spinoff of the 2014 hit animated film, "The Lego Movie." It has been confirmed that Will Arnett will reprise his role in the movie as the extremely dark, serious and heavy-metal composing Batman in the story that takes place in the Lego version of Gotham.
As for its plot, the upcoming film follows the lonely Lego Batman as he adopts a young orphan to fight with. Unfortunately, the Joker recruits villains like Riddler, Catwoman and the Condiment Man to take down Gotham after taking Batman's rejection of their relationship too personally.
The Lego Cinematic Universe is gearing up to be one of the boldest movie franchises of Warner Bros., driving "The Lego Movie" to a sweeping success through its humor and heart. Creators of the film tease that viewers will have to prepare for a comical film that is packed with sentimental emotions.
"The Lego Batman" movie hits theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
