'The Man In The High Castle' Season 2 Trailer News & Update: Amazon Releases First Two Minutes of Premiere Episode

Ahead of the premiere of its sophomore season, Amazon has released the first two minutes of "The Man in the High Castle's" new episode.

The clip features student life in Nazi-ruled America and opens with Thomas, son of John Smith, arriving at school. Everything in the scene looks normal as he walks through the hallways of the building, enters his classroom, helps one of his friends with a detail in early American history, and gets chosen to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

The students then recite, "I swear I will observe the law, conscientiously fulfill my duties at home and school, be faithful and obedient, and pledge absolute allegiance until death to the leader of the Nazi Empire, Adolf Hitler."

"The Man in the High Castle" is an Emmy Award-winning drama series that envisions a world where the United States lost in World War II and becomes under the rule of Japan and Germany. Based on the alternate history novel of Philip K. Dick, the second season of the series picks up with Alexa Davalos' Juliana Crain facing the consequences of her choice to betray the Resistance and let the suspected Nazi agent Joe Blake escape the Pacific States.

According to reports, season 2 will see political tensions rise between Germany and Japan as Trade Minister Tagomi regrets his success in sneaking in nuclear technology from the Reich. It will also follow Chief Inspector Kido as he begins to have greater interest in the Man in the High Castle.

"The Man in the High Castle" season 2 premieres on December 16 on Amazon Prime.
