In the previous season of "The Mindy Project," Mindy Lahiri slept with her ex-husband Danny as they got trapped inside an elevator. In season 5, she will find out that Danny is already getting married.

The truth about season 5 was revealed in an official trailer for the upcoming series, which was released recently by Hulu. The trailer shows Mindy opening her email and finding an invitation to her ex-husband's wedding. It looks like fans should expect some drama to ensue next season.

Aside from Mindy's relationship with Danny, another interesting storyline that fans can expect next season is that of Jody. In the trailer, Mindy reveals her admiration for her colleague and fertility practice partner Jody, whom she describes as "tall, rugged, and handsome like a lumberjack in a porno."

The trailer also reveals that another man will get in the picture next season. In another scene, Mindy attends a dinner with Morgan, where she gets introduced to a man named Ben. A handsome nurse working at Leo's pediatric office, the new character may just be the new apple of Mindy's eye.

According to reports, Nasim Pedrad has been tapped to play Leo's pediatrician while Adam Pally will reprise his role as Mindy's best friend Peter.

Aside from the romantic storylines, the trailer also suggests a possible protest. A scene shows Ben, Morgan and a group of nurses assembled on the sidewalk, booing and lobbing eggs at Mindy and the other doctors.
