The thrilling vampire series 'The Originals' returns with Episode 3 entitled "Every Mother's Son," and puts Esther (Alice Evans) into the spotlight.

Episode 3 will reportedly focus on Esther and her past, as well as her current role as teenage Cassie (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) as she brings terror upon New Orleans and her family.

Meanwhile, a recap of 'The Originals' Episode 2 "Alive & Kicking" dived into the past of Kol Mikaelson (Nathaniel Buzolic) and a shocking revelation that the parents of the Original vampires, Esther and Mikael, came back from the dead-which led to an exciting family reunion.

Meanwhile, Klaus encouraged Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) to regain her position within the werewolf pack. Esther, who tried to kill her daughter Hope, went head-to-head with Hayley for supremacy among the pack. Moreover, the two vampire brothers were faced with the arrival of Davina (Danielle Campbell) who still controls Mikael.

The synopsis of the third episode "Every Mother's Son" revealed that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) find themselves in trouble after receiving a mysterious dinner invitation from their devious mother Esther.

When Elijah, Klaus, and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) push on efforts to outperform Esther, they will find themselves surprised as they grow even more suspicious about their mother and things will reportedly take a turn for the worse.

Elijah will be expected to partner with newly-turned vampire, Gia (guest star Nishi Munshi) unwillingly.

On the other hand, Esther will reportedly talk with Hayley and put out a convincing offer about her new status as a Hybrid.

"Finally, Esther reveals a shocking secret about Klaus' childhood and unveils her ultimate plan for her children," the synopsis read.

Aside from that, several characters will provide more drama in the story including Leonore (Sonja Sohn) and Esther (Alice Evans).

'The Originals' Season 2 Episode 3 "Every Mother's Son" airs 7:00 pm next Tuesday, Oct. 20 on The CW.
