They also confirmed that the new season will feature an older version of Hope, since the series will pick up five years after the events in the season 3 finale, when Marcel started taking over New Orleans.

A teaser video for the upcoming episode shows Hope seemingly desperate to meet her father. This clip led to speculations that season 4 will see a reunion between the two characters.

There are also speculations that Hope will be one of the most vital characters in the upcoming season, as she is the key to all the mysteries surrounding the Mikaelson family.

Meanwhile, actor Joseph Morgan, who portrays Klaus in the series, revealed on social media that someone will be betrayed in season 4 so fans should expect ruined friendships when the series returns.
