'The Voice' Season 11 Episode 5 Spoilers: Coaches Fill Final Remaining Spots In Their Teams
The coaches tried to fill the final remaining spots in their respective teams in the latest episode of "The Voice" season 11.
The first artist was Aaron Gibson, 25, who chose to quit his full-time job to pursue music. He sang "Losing My Religion," and his voice intrigued Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys. Both Miley and Blake talked over each other in hopes of having Aaron in their team. He ended up on Miley Cyrus' team.
The next to perform was Simone Gundy, who gave birth to her son when she was only 15 years old. She impressed both Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus with her performance of "I Who Have Nothing," but she picked Adam.
Next up, Samantha Landrum sang "Man I Feel Like A Woman." Unfortunately for her, none of the coaches turned around.
Josh Gallagher took the stage next, who performed "Stay a Little Longer." Blake and Alicia pushed their buttons, and Alicia gave a great pitch. However, Josh chose Blake over her.
Singing "Treat You Better," Gabriel Violett had Alicia turn around from the first note. The, Blake joined in at the very last second of the song. The two coaches battled it out again, but this time it was Alicia who won. The coach was the only one who turned around in the next performance by Michael Sanchez, who performed "Use Me."
The next performer was Darby Walker, who sang "Florence and the Machine" version of "Stand By Me." She got her idol Alicia, along with Miley and Blake, to turn around. To everyone's surprise, she went with Miley in the end.
Performing "Wild Horses," Austin Allsup caught the attention of Blake, who was the only one who pushed his button. As a result, Austin automatically ended up joining his team. Also joining him in Blake's team were Christian Fermin and Preston James.
16-year-old Khaliya Kimberlie, a Native American, sang "Dibs" by Kelsea Ballerini and had Blake and Miley banter back and forth. In the end, she chose Miley.
Following the young singer was Cooper Bascom, who performed "I'm Gonna Be." None of the coaches turned around but they all gave him good criticism for next time.
Next up, Halle Tomlinson performed "New York State of Mind" and had Adam turn around instantly, followed by Alicia. She decided to choose Alicia.
Towards the end, a returning artist who was rejected last season, Nolan Neal, performed "Tiny Dancer" and picked Adam as his coach.
The episode aired last September 27 on NBC.
