'The Voice' Season 11 Winner, Finale News: Sundance Head Is First 'American Idol' Alum To Win 'The Voice'

Team Blake's Sundance Head became the first "American Idol" alumnus to win "The Voice" on Tuesday night's star-studded "The Voice 2016" finale.

Upon hearing his name, the shocked Sundance took off his cowboy hat and was joined by his family on stage as a blizzard of confetti fell over him.

"I just want to thank you for being such a great guy and being so sweet to me, man, when I know you don't have to do that," Sundance told Blake Shelton.

"You do this for a job, you know, but you really are such a genuine person, man, and I thank the Lord that he put you in my life," he said.

Sundance is the son of "Treat Her Right" singer Roy Head and competed on "American Idol" nine years ago, but only made it to the top 16. At one point, he was even a "Vote for the Worst poster-boy." His win marked Blake's fifth victory on the talent search, strengthening his "The Voice" track record as the show's most successful coach.

On Tuesday's finale, Team Adam's Billy made it to the second place, while Team Alicia's We McDonald came in third. Country singer Josh Gallagher, who lost in the Knockout Rounds to Sundance but was stolen by Adam Levine, rounded out the finale in fourth place.

The finale also featured Sundance as he jammed on "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock and Roll All Night" with KISS, as well as Miley Cyrus as she rocked and waggled her tongue the Gene Simmons' way. Bruno Mars also performed "24K Magic" while sitting on a red chair, while Billy sang a duet with Kelly Clarkson for their own rendition of "It's Quiet Uptown."

Other artists who performed were Weekend, Sting, John Legend, Cam, Ariana Grande and Stevie Wonder.
