"The Voice" Season 5 Top 8 Live Eliminations, Watch Who Went Home Here (VIDEO)

"The Voice" Season 5 was back on NBC last night with the live eliminations of the Top 8. 

After give contestants were saved, it was down to Matthew Schuler, Caroline Pennell and Ray Boudreaux for the final spot. In the end, the fans chose Matthew and Caroline and Ray were left to say goodbye. 

This was somewhat dissapointing for me personally as Caroline was one of my favorites on the show and I absolutely loved her unique voice. 

With the departure of Caroline, Team Ceelo is officially out for Season 5 as she was his last team member. Team Adam is in the drivers seat right now with all three of his final contestants still alive. Christina has two left and Blake is down to just Cole Vosbury. 

Blake Shelton has won the last three seasons of "The Voice" so unless Cole outlasts everyone, it looks like their will be a new champion this season. 

Ellie Goulding was in attendance last night and gave a special performance of her new single "Burn" as well. She always puts on a good performance and has a great voice and excellent stage presence.
