'The Walking Dead' Season 3 Finale Sneak Peek [VIDEO]

The final episode of The Walking Dead Season 3 airs Sunday night on AMC at 9/8c. Norman Reedus, who plays loveable redneck archer, Daryl on The Walking Dead, says the final episode is going to be, "explosive."

With a highly anticipated all-out war with the Governor expected, "explosive" is hopefully an understatement.

Woodbury's psychotic "Governor" has been terrorizing Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Daryl for the better part of Season 3. With the final episode of The Walking Dead, Daryl will finally get an opportunity to exact revenge on the Governor for turning his brother Merle into a zombie.

"Daryl definitely wants to cut the guy's face off. He wants a ferocious revenge, he doesn't just want to see justice -- he wants to rip his head off," Reedus said.

Season 3 has been a particularly fatal season of The Walking Dead. Beloved characters like Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne) and T-Dog (IronE Singleton) died in the first half of episodes.

"People will definitely die," Reedus told The Hollywood Reporter. Though he didn't' specify who, the show has indicated possible deaths to everyone from Andrea (Laurie Holden), who is held captive by the Governor, to Michonne who was almost traded to Woodbury to avoid warfare.

Personally, I think that's part of the success of The Walking Dead. The show never shies away from killing off even its most popular main characters.

The Walking Dead Season 3 finale, "Welcome To The Tombs" airs Sunday March 31 at 9 p.m., EDT, on AMC.
