'The Walking Dead' Mid-Season 4 Finale Spoilers: Which Characters Are Safe and Will Carol Return in Episode 8 Showdown? [Trailer]

The Walking Dead mid-season finale is this Sunday and loveable redneck arrow-slinger Daryl Dixon [Norman Reedus] is dishing out the details for what is setting up to be a "crazy" outcome.

After production wrapped up for "Too Far Gone," back in August, Reedus teased Comicbook about some potential plot details surrounding the faceoff between the Governor and the prison crew.

"I will say that we just wrapped the midseason finale last night of The Walking Dead, mind-blowing. Minds are going to blow up. It's so crazy. It's so good. We thought last season was real good. This season's crazy good. It's nuts, you'll love it," he said.

Based on the trailer promo that reads, "All will fight...some will fall," we know that Episode 8 will see some of the characters [most likely a main member] be compromised in the camp-on-camp warfare. But who?

At the end of last week's episode, the Governor spots Michonne and Hershel outside the prison alone. Based on another promo for the finale, it sounds like the Governor has captured some of the prison people. Is it the samurai warrior and the aging farmer?

And what about Megan and Lily? Though the Governor has already lost his family and Woodbury, will he lose the family unit's that barely keeping him alive? Chances are one, if not both will survive. Even so, it would be enough to push the Governor to an edge even he would be shocked to witness.

Carl and Daryl both seem safe in Episode 8. Carl's role is just now starting to shape into a major asset for the prison, and let's face it millions of fans would boycott the show if the producers killed off Daryl.

As for Carol, something tells me her role and the Governor's are somehow linked. Whether that means the former prison citizen joins forces with the one-eyed psychopath, no one can say. But look for her to play a part in episodes to come.

Don't miss The Walking Dead mid-season finale Sunday, December 1 at 9/8c on AMC.
