Well contrary to spoilers surrounding The Walking Dead mid-season 4 finale, Carol did not make her big return. So where is she? Rick seemed pretty confident that she'd be safe with supplies and a car and even hinted at her finding a new group.

The second half of season 4 is set to return February 9^th. According to TV Guide fans won't half to wait too much longer before Daryl's main squeeze shows up again. That means move over Beth, mama is back in town. Her return is still a mystery.

Some fans online speculate Carol was actually covering up for the real killer of Karen and David. Remember the rat that was mutilated in the prison? But who and why would Carol risk her own spot in the group for another? Some theories indicate Lizzie, one of the girls Carol looked after is responsible. The story fits though I don't know how such a small girl would be able to drag two dead bodies all the way outside without someone noticing. Maybe the kids of the zombie apocalypse aren't as innocent as they appear.

"We'll be addressing that in the future," Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple told Vulture about the scene where she shot Alisha dead in the head. "It's all part of a greater story. It's important to know that that wasn't just some big sensational moment."
