'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Release Date, Plot Spoilers News: New Challenges, Possible Cure, More Bloodshed
As 'The Walking Dead' Season 5 premiere draws near its release date, the installment's recently released synopsis relieves eager fans awaiting the hit zombie-drama's return to AMC on October 12.
One interesting thing to note about the upcoming season, is that it's going to be first one that starts without a time jump. Unlike the previous seasons, this time around, the new episode will start exactly where Season 4 left off.
The last time fans of the show got a chance to see Rick's group, they were trapped inside a train car at the deceptive and dangerous "sanctuary" of Terminus.
Fans of the series are currently wondering if this season will bring with it a cure for the infection that has plauged the human race on the show since its start. Beyond that, fans have been informed that they should expect more bloodshed and gore in this installment than the previous seasons.
Another aspect of 'The Walking Dead' that has been on the minds of the viewers, concerns some of the identities of the popular characters. Evidently, the producers of the show have already played upon possible love interests for Daryl, but nothing substantial has emerged from that so far.
On that note, the possibility of Daryl being a homosexual has been discussed by the show's writers and producers. However, whether or not that will play out, or be seen in Season 5, remains to be a mystery.
The first episode of the upcoming installment is entitled "No Sanctuary," and will depict Rick's newly reunited group's escape from Terminus.
Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee), Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) currently star on 'The Walking Dead' for Season 5. However, there's a good chance that one of these stars may just fade out as their character gets killed off on the show.
