Following the tragic death of Glenn and Abraham in the premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7, viewers of the popular zombie survival drama will witness a major plot twist in the upcoming episode. While the said twist may not be as intense as the horrible deaths caused by Negan, it is still something significant enough to tremendously affect the fate of the remaining survivors.

In the upcoming episodes, viewers will see the characters go in different directions for the first time. Spoilers for the season predict that the main characters might part ways and head to two different directions, the Hilltop Colony and Alexandria.

A new promo clip for "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 5 shows Maggie, Paul and Gregory heading towards the Hilltop Colony. On the other hand, Carl and Michonne, who previously scorned Rick for submitting himself to Negan, seem to have a change of heart. There are theories that Michonne's change of heart might have come after her heart-to-heart talk with Rick in the previous episode.

In the clip, Carl asks Michonne, "Why didn't you go with my dad?" This may lead viewers to wonder where Rick might have gone.

While there are speculations that Rick might be part of the group that headed towards Alexandria, some speculate that Rick might have actually decided to go on a one-man mission to rescue Daryl, who is currently being held captive by Negan.
