'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Premiere Spoilers: Character Portraits Hint Bloody Fate of Survivors
"The Walking Dead" season 7 will pick up where the previous season left off. It can be recalled that in the season 6 finale, Rick and his group were at the hands of Negan.
This week, the series released a selection of character posters showing the survivors in a bloody situation. Fans can expect the lives of Rick and the gang to never be the same again after the season 7 premiere.
According to Andrew Lincoln, the upcoming season will see the leader of the group, Rick, as a "broken man." This is because one of the members of his group will be tortured and killed by Negan through his bat, Lucille. In the season 6 revival, the leader of the Saviors appeared for just about fifteen minutes, but viewers knew that all the survivors were well under his control.
It is expected that after the murder of one of the survivors sinks in among the members of Rick's group, they will all begin to part ways. The future ahead of them remains unclear, but it certainly will not be as bright as it was prior to the killing.
Undead Walking released the photos of the characters, revealing their bloody fate next season. While not all of the characters in the portraits have an immediate risk of being beaten to death by Negan in the season 7 premiere, that does not mean that their time will not come in the upcoming series. In fact, showrunner Scott Gimple previously said that "no drop of awfulness" was spared in the premiere episode of the upcoming season.
"The Walking Dead" season 7 premieres on October 23, 2016.
