'The Winds Of Winter' Release Date Rumors, Latest News: George R.R. Martin Cancels His Book Due To Trump's Victory?

George R. R. Martin is silent about the release date for "The Winds of Winter" but now nasty rumors are circulating about the famously slow author cancelling the book as a result of Donald Trump's victory in the recent U.S. presidential election.

According to Parent Herald, the author is doing away with the book altogether because Hillary Clinton, whom he supported in the last election, lost to the billionaire. To be fair, the article did not cite a single source confirming this supposed "The Winds of Winter" release date cancellation.

Prior to this, there was no hint in the rumors and news report about George R. R. Martin cancelling the "The Winds of Winter" release date. The overall arching theme was that the book is going to be delayed because the author is not finished yet.

In his blog, however, he referenced "The Winds of Winter" book, although he did not say anything about the release date, when talking about a Donald Trump presidency.

"America has spoken. I really thought we were better than this. Guess not," he wrote. "Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency. Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage."

He said that if America thinks it has a problem now, it's only going to snowball in the next four years.

"Winter is coming. I told you so," George R.R. Martin added.

Previous news and rumors revealed that George R. R. Martin is rushing "The Winds of Winter" release date considering the events in "Game of Thrones" have already overtaken the plot of the "A Song of Fire and Ice" series.
