"Thor: Ragnarok" is currently in the works and is one of the three Marvel films to hit cinemas soon.

Based on an article published by the Lawyer Herald, a new assistant director has been signed up for the project. Vincent Lascoumes, who once worked on the YA movie version of "Divergent," will work side by side with director Taika Waititi of "What We Do in the Shadows" this time around.

Since news about "Thor: Ragnarok" broke out, fans have been making speculations about the characters who will make an appearance in the film.

It was confirmed that Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are returning in the movie to reprise their roles as Thor and Loki, while Mark Ruffalo will join the cast as Bruce Banner or Hulk. Nick Fury will also potentially make an appearance, although the relevance of his character in the film still remains unknown.

There are also speculations that Cate Blachett will be taken onboard as the villain Amora the Enchantress. However, some speculate that her role will be Hela or Valkyrie, making her the foremost female villain in the film.

Meanwhile, the return of Jaimie Alexander in the film has not been confirmed yet. According to the actress, the script for the film is undergoing some alterations and her appearance in the film will depend on whether the filming schedule will go with her short vacation from the series "Blindspot" or not.

In other news, actor Tom Hiddleston confirmed in his recent interview that "Thor: Ragnarok" will be the last time he will appear in a Marvel movie.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
