Mandy Steward's "Thrashing About With God" Review: How to Live a Life That is Perfect for You

Mandy Steward's new book "Thrashing About With God" came out to positive reviews on October 1st this year. Steward is a pastor's wife who is also the mother of four children. She began to feel that she was answering spiritual questions and living a spiritual life by saying all of the "right" things instead of saying things that actually meant something to her. Steward wrote "Thrashing About With God" about her time spent away from church and away from the Bible.

Goodreads.com described the book, saying, "Mandy Steward set out in pursuit of these what-ifs. She didn't find answers so much as she discovered a messy grace that knows no limits and a God that was and is willing to thrash about with her no matter her questions or struggles or doubts. What she found was abundant life, but it didn't look like she thought it was going to. It was far different, and much deeper. This is a book without 'easy' answers that lets those struggling with faith and searching for more know they are not alone."

Some readers felt that Steward became defensive when talking about her break from church and the Bible. Do you agree? Let us know in the comments!
