Tia and Tamera Mowry Quit Reality Show to Live Their Lives 'Behind the Camera'
Twin sister actresses, Tia and Tamera Mowry, have decided to end their family reality show after three seasons.
Former child stars Tia Mowry-Hardric and Tamera Mowry-Housley have continued to maintain success in adult hood. They are known most for their 1990s sitcom "Sister, Sister."
Mowry-Hardrict, explained to Access Hollywood that having her sister by her side as a 14-year-old actress on the set of "Sister Sister" is what helped her Survive the notorious fate known to happen to Child Stars.
The 35-year-old twins now have beautiful families, booming television careers, and most importantly a strong Christian faith.
In 2010 the girls showcased a self-titled reality show as a television special, that showed glimpses into their lives. It went on to get picked up by E! and debuted on August 8, 2011 as a series. Since then, the show has gained much success.
The series took viewers inside the lives of the celebrity identical twins as they balanced their acting careers with major life transformations of marriage and motherhood.
Right before the New Year, after just three seasons, sister Tamera Mowry-Housley announced that they were not having another season of the reality show.
"Yes, Tia and Tamera will not have a season 4. Thank you for always supporting us throughout the years" she tweeted. "Thank you for 3 amazing years of Tia and Tamera. Now... onto my new talk show The Real and some great things I can't wait to share with u," she continued.
After a lot of questions as to why this was happening, Mowry-Housley responded and said, "Tia n I decided it was time 2 live r family lives behind the cameras:) U can still look forward 2 Tia's Instant Mom n my talk show the real," adding "We are truly blessed:) More than anything I wanted you all to see who I was TRULY as a person and the show Tia and Tamera has done that."
Mowry-Housley told Essence in a past interview that she knew her priorities were "God, family and work" and when those things were in check the work would flow. Perhaps the reality work part was taking the importance away from one of the other two on her list.
