Tim Tebow and KISS Bassist Gene Simmons to Join Forces with New  L.A. Arena Football Team?

Tim Tebow is still without a job but an unlikely source has came out in support of the polarizing NFL star.

Gene Simmons, bass player for legendary rock band KISS has offered Tebow a spot on their new arena football team, LA KISS. After a five year absence of arena football in LA, the new expansion team LA KISS will be playing this year at the Honda Center.

Simmons is co-owner of the team and shared with radio.com about Tebow, "He's got a religious passion, as well he should, we're in America. He's proud to be a Christian, what's wrong with that? And yet, with sports media and pop culture media, they make fun of his religion. Really? In America? If he was wearing a burqa, they wouldn't dare say anything. But if you're a Christian, you get to be picked on? What the hell? The guy's got family values. I never saw the media picking on Michael Vick for torturing dogs. Or this other football player, who's alleged to have killed, committed murder.  That's 'cool.' But a guy who's religious and has got family values isn't 'cool?' He's cool to me."

They also discuss of the LA KISS team wearing different uniforms each game to keep it exciting. This would clearly be a long-shot at best, but makes for some interesting news. The Tebow hype is long from over. Lets just hope he can get back on an actual NFL team.

If Tebow couldn't make an NFL roster, would you rather see him give arena football a try or not play at all?
