Tim Tebow Released by New England Patriots, Other NFL Teams Interested?
Tim Tebow did not make the final cuts today at the New England Patriots headquarters.
The Patriots had their fourth and final preseason game on Thursday where Tebow played the entire second half with a last shot to show the coaches what he could do. He had a solid game throwing for 2 touchtowns and 1 interception. Tebow still struggled being in the pocket but was making improvements.
ESPN first reported the news and it has spread since. Tebow, the NFL's most popular and polarizing player is again without a job and the season will just not be the same without Tebow around.
Expectations are not high that another team would pick up Tebow this close to the regular season. 2 teams that could definitely use him would be the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars owner wanted Tebow going into this season, but that coaching staff would not give any guarantees that he would play or that they even wanted him.
It is unfortunate as Tebow made the most of his opportunity in Denver when no one expected him to and now no one will give him that shot again. Lets hope he gets another shot with an NFL team soon.
Tebow definitely has a lot more to this world to offer than football and will do many great things for the Lord, but we hope he is not done on an NFL field just yet.
All he does is win games.
