Tim Tebow Teams with T-Mobile for Funny Super Bowl Ads, 'So Much Fun to be Able to Just Laugh for Two Days in a Row' (VIDEO)

T-Mobile announced Friday that former New York Jets Quarterback Tim Tebow will star in two of its Super Bowl XLVIII ads.

Tebow has not been on a football field playing for the NFL since 2012 but he managed to still be apart of the big game on Sunday. He is the star of two T-Mobile commercials that will air during the big game.

T-Mobile took Tebow's free agency and used it to promote their no contract policy. "T-Mobile is now teaming up with the ultimate free agent, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, for an unconventional, humorous Super Bowl TV commercial, showcasing the many benefits of contract freedom," the company said in a statement.

In the action-packed comical commercials you will see Tebow walk on the moon, lead a heavy metal rock band, deliver a baby, and go through a host of other outrageous circumstances.

During his co-hosting gig on "Good Morning America," Tebow said making the commercials was "So much fun to be able to just laugh for two days in a row, it was priceless."

"The Super Bowl is not for every brand, but it's consistent with what we are trying to do," said T-Mobile CMO Mike Sievert to USA Today. "We're a brand that is bold and brash."

As for choosing to go ahead with the Super Bowl ads, Peter DeLuca, T-Mobile senior vice president, added that the thinking was "go big or go home."

USA Today also reported that in playing these over-the-top characters, Tebow said he is able to show the public a humorous side "that family and friends know better."

As for his own football future, Tebow said: "I'm still working hard every single day to improve as a quarterback and I'm looking forward to whatever opportunities are there."

In addition to the Tebow ads, T-Mobile will run a 30-second commercial that has no actors. That ad is all text and encourages consumers to break ties with their current carrier and to join T-Mobile, which does not require contracts.
