'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Release Date: Creators Pressured To Reveal New Installment Within The Year

Creators of the anime series "Tokyo Ghoul" are reportedly pressured to air the third season of the series within the year after it was included in the top 10 most purchased Japanese manga series last month.

According to reports, the eighth volume of "Tokyo Ghoul" written by Sui Ishida ranked seventh in the Nielsen Book Scan's Top 20 list of manga series for the month of August. This was not the first time that the series made it to the list.

Due to the positive reviews received by the series, fans speculate that the creators of the series are now pressured to release the third installment within the year.

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 2 wrapped up in March 2015, so it has already been a year and a half that fans have been waiting to see its return on television. However, there are speculations that the material to be used for the third season is not completed yet, so its creators cannot give an official announcement yet as to when the new series will be released.

Several fans are already disappointed by the very long wait it has to take for the new season to be released. Despite that, however, speculations about the plot of the upcoming series continue to swirl around. Recent reports claim that the third installment will be the darkest just yet, packed with more action and gore than the first two seasons.

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is expected to pick up two years after the Commission on Counter Ghoul stormed the Anteiku.
