As a special holiday surprise for fans who are waiting for the series to return next year, original cult ABC series "Twin Peaks" will be available for binge-watching on Showtime.

Starting Dec. 26, fans of "Twin Peaks" may finally watch every episode of the original series on the premium network. However, this can only be accessed by subscribers on Showtime's streaming service, Showtime on Demand and Showtime Anytime.

Aside from "Twin Peaks," Lynch's iconic noir film "Blue Velvet" will also be available for streaming on Showtime's platforms. This film was written and directed by Lynch and features Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern.

"Twin Peaks" seasons 1 and 2 aired between 1990 and 1990. Initially, ABC only wanted to put the series on hiatus. Ultimately, however, the network decided to cancel it.

Prior to the show's cancellation, "Twin Peaks" had already managed to build its fan base, which has even grown stronger and bigger throughout the years. 25 years since its last season, their call for a new season was finally heard when Showtime announced that the series will be back in 2017 for its third season.

The new "Twin Peaks" series will feature a mix of original and new cast members and will be directed by Lynch. Season 3 will pick up 25 years after the inhabitants of a northwestern town were shocked by the murder of their queen, Laura Palmer.

Written and executive producer by Lynch and Mark Frost, "Twin Peaks" season 3 premieres sometime in 2017.
