'Walking Dead' Season 4 Spoilers: Negan and other Characters from Comic to Join the Show
Many fans are wondering how much this season of hit AMC show "The Walking Dead" will borrow ideas, story lines and characters from the "Walking Dead" comic series. Show creator Robert Kirkman has provided some answers, while providing some teasers for upcoming episodes.
The show creator recently sat down for an interview with Entertainment weekly where he hinted that "The Walking Dead" may soon include the villain Negan from the comic series.
"Well, there was a lot of breathing room in the comics between them. Whether or not we have the same amount of breathing room, or if we do cut that down a little bit and bring him into the show a little early remains to be seen. But I definitely do think there needs to be some kind of space from a Governor into a Negan. You have to have something of a break in there. So I wouldn't expect him to be showing up -- definitely not in season 4. I don't know. I wouldn't expect it too soon. But we are all very excited about the prospect of bringing that guy into the show. The plan is that we will see him eventually," Kirkman said.
Previously, Kirkman has talked about including comic characters in the show. As Kirkman explained to Entertainment Weekly in December, Abraham, Eugune, and Rosita were inspired from the comic series and their roles are similar in both mediums.
"I can say that their introduction will be somewhat similar to how they were introduced in the comic, which I think is a very cool thing. I'm always pushing for big changes between the comic and the show, but when there is a good, natural process to adapt things directly, we do that from time to time to keep people guessing, so we will see a bit of that in their introduction," Kirkman explained.
