Whitney Houston would have had her 50th birthday today, August 9th.
The global superstar and singing sensation unfortunately left us far too soon, but today we can all take a few minutes to enjoy her music and be reminded of her voice that dominated the 80's and 90's.
Houston released six studio albums, one holiday album and three movie soundtrack albums. She is one of the best-selling artists of all time with over 200 million albums sold worldwide.
Houston is the only artist to chart seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits.

With all of the success that Whitney Houston had, she will forever be known as The Bodyguard singer with her song "I Will Always Love You".
