Wii U Virtual Console Gets Game Boy Advance Games in April: Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, and Yoshi's Island Super Mario Advance 3 Arrive First
The Wii U Virtual Console will be getting Game Boy Advance games this April in both the U.S. and Japan.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata made the announcement at yesterday's Nintendo Direct presentation.
Among the first confirmed games for the Virtual Console are: Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 with new games being added every month.
Japan will receive Super Mario World, WarioWare, Golden Sun, F-Zero, and Advance Wars. On April 30, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, Wario Land 4, Mario Tennis Advance, and Mario & Luigi RPG will be added.
A lot of Game Boy Advance games are already available online for the 3DS, and it is questionable as to why the games are not being put out with a focus on handheld. Either way, early comments and reactions for the news have been in favor of the idea as Nintendo continues to bring its classics back.
