'The Winner Is' Katie Ohh vs Sharde Bivans, Who was  Crowned the Winner on the Finale on NBC? Watch Here (VIDEO)

"The Winner Is...," is the singing competition that came to NBC this summer. It hosted by Nick Lachey and had it's Season 1 finale last night. 

The finale came down to Katie Ohh and Sharde Bivans in the end and Katie won with a 57-44 vote from the judges.

In the end the winner was... Katie Ohh. 

Katie is from Powhatan Point, OH, where she was born and raised. She is now living in Nashville and working as a nurse in ICU. She loves her job but is hoping winning the show could give her a new booth for a music career. 

The ratings for "The Winner Is..." were not good this season but at least got a big boost in its finale, jumping 40% from last week to a 1.4 rating. The show will not return next season and was cancelled before this season ended officially. 

The premise of the show was that contestants would go up against one another for a specified amount of money. There were 101 judges of varying degrees of the music industry and they would cast their votes after each performance. The votes would be shown on stage with two numbers (i.e. 57-44) but it was not known who got the higher vote total yet.

If one of the contestants thought they had lost the "battle" to the other and got less votes, they could admit loss but take the money that was offered. If neither chose to accept defeat, then the winner with the higher vote total would move on to the next round and the loser would walk away empty handed. 

"The Winner Is" is hosted by Nick Lachey and produced by Talpa Media USA, Inc. and Universal Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who executive produces along with Craig Plestis and Stijn Bakkers.
