Worldwide Revival Center Hosts Over One Million People as Revival Breaks Out in Colombia

On December 27, a large gathering of people met in Simon Bolivar Park for an annual event to thank God for His goodness, commit the coming year to Him, and go for more. Astonishingly, over one million people were in attendance this year.

Those who attended had the opportunity to partake in worship led by the ministry's orchestra and 3,000-person choir. There were miraculous healings and testimonies throughout the night. Additionally, the event was simultaneously translated via live stream into six languages including English, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, and Japanese, while it broadcasted live to 21 international capital cities.

According to a video put out by the church, it was the biggest Christian gathering in the whole continent, with the largest screen in Latin America, a huge stage, and a fireworks show to end the day.

Worldwide Revival Center began holding these events seven years ago. It was started by Pastors Ricardo and Maria Patricia Rodriguez, founders of the largest Hispanic church in Latin America.

Since its inception, the event has become the largest Christian gathering on the South American continent. This year's theme was "We Are Going for More."

For the past seven years, hundreds of thousands have gathered for revival, healing and to commit their lives to God. This year was the first time millions showed up.

"This is the revival we are experiencing here. Every person in the world needs to know what is happening here because it is for them too," Juliana Guzman a spokesperson for the Center stated. "Years ago the Lord showed [Christian leaders] a map of Colombia. It was dry and broken. But then showers of rain made it blossom and prosper."

The Rodríguezes' founded Worldwide Revival Center in 1990. Now their South American-based congregation is comprised of nearly 40,000 members with additional locations in Argentina and New York City.

Reportedly a revival is in effect in South America due to the overwhelming response of people answering the call for more in 2014.
