'WoW' Legion News Update: Players Meet Giant Old God In-Game, Game Reaches 3.3-M Sales

Players encountered a new monster in Blizzard Entertainment's "World of Warcraft: Legion" Also, the game reportedly managed to sell 33 million copies.

Prior to their encounter with the monster, "World of Warcraft" community members were looking for the reins o the Long-Forgotten Hippogryph item, which was set to unlock an unreleased Mount, which was last seen way back in 2007. As per IGN, they learned a set of well-hidden caves, along with some orbs inside.

The players moved one and knew that the table next to a particular NPC was actually a makeship map of the Broken Isles and it marks the placement of the ten orbs, which were set to be activated in a certain sequence.

As per the publication, the team found the orbs, work out the sequences, and activated them. To their surprise, a colossal old God called Kosumoth the Hungering appeared, instead of a Hippogriph. Kosumoth is set to be killed by every player, regardless of faction.

In other news, "World of Warcraft: Legion" managed to have 3.3 million sales on its first day, as per Blizzard, as cited by Eurogamer. According to the publication, the sale matches the achievement of the sets "Warlords of Draenore" and "Cataclysm" on their debut.

It is added that Blizzard expects that the game's features, such as the Artifact weapons and their corresponsing upgrade lines will help stand as the game's player retention strategy. In addition, the studio is shifting its gears on a huge content patch, which is 7.1. Known as "Return to Karazhan," it serves as a reimagination of one of "WoW's" famous old raids.
