Wrestling News & Rumors: John Cena Takes A Long Break After His Match At WWE?

Rumor has it that John Cena will take a long break from wrestling after his match at WWE No Mercy to focus on the filming of "American Grits" season 2. On the other hand, some reports claim that he will leave WWE for good.

One of the most popular WWE professional wrestlers today, John Cena started his career as a wrestler in 1999, until he was discovered by the World Wrestling Federation and signed him in 2001. Since then, he has joined the ranks of Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in elevating the status of the WWE.

Today, however, "the face of WWE" is rumored to leave the WWE for good.

The Inquisitr recently reported that in a few weeks at the WWE No Mercy, the renowned wrestler will compete for the title of WWE World Champion in a Triple Threat Match. The report said the fight could be his last appearance at the WWE.

While some reports claim that he will not be back to fight again, there are those that claim that Cena will just take a long hiatus from WWE to film "American Grit" season 2, which starts in mid-October. The first season of the series started filming in 2015. According to reports, Cena will take a leave from WWE until December to finish the filming for its second season. He is also going to appear at the Survivor Series on November 20.

As of this writing, nothing has been confirmed yet regarding the Cenation Leader's status after his stint at "American Grit."
