X FACTOR 2013 Season Premiere a Total Flop and Ratings Drop / New Judges Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio

The season premiere of the singing competition series, the "X Factor" was a total fail this week. The season premiere introduced the show's new judges Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland. The show dropped over a third in its ratings, which is 36% and managed a 2.1 rating out of the 18-49 demographic and 6.2 million views overall.

Surprisingly the show's ratings dropped more than last year's premiere when "X Factor" was going head-to-head with its competitor singing competition show, "The Voice". Maybe TV viewers may be tired of the whole singing competition gimmick after all; Simon Cowell has produced two singing reality shows for the network.
