There is a rumor going around that the low ratings of the once popular TV show "X Factor USA" could get show creator and head judge Simon Cowell the boot. The season 3 debut had much lower ratings and viewers than the season 2 debut and many critics believe that it is time for Cowell to go.

"X Factor USA" season 3 struggles with several things that other TV talent shows do not, namely consistent ratings, star factor talent, and committed judges. "American Idol" has had the same judges for several seasons and has a dedicated fan base, both of which are things that "X Factor USA" lacks. "American Idol" has a huge amount of star power as well, what with talent like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Scott McReery and Lee DeWyze whereas "X Factor USA" has not produced any chart toppers since its inception.
