'The X Factor' Shockers: Selena Gomez Performs "Slow Down" in Slinky Leotard and Sweet Suspense Gets Sent Home

It seems like Selena Gomez is taking a page out of the Miley Cyrus playbook. The former Disney starlet graced the X Factor stage Thursday night in a super racy leather dress. The "Stars Dance" singer stepped out in slinky, black leotard to belt out a pretaped performance of "Slow Down."

Gomez brought some of the dancers from the tour she's currently on to perform. While taping last week Gomez spent a little time with X Factor host Mario Lopez.

Lopez couldn't help but support the young singer via Twitter.

"Backstage with my girl @SelenaGomez!" Mario tweeted. "Such a sweetheart... She reminds me of a grown up Gia."

For those of you not in the know, Gia is Lopez' daughter.

Ironically Gomez' new look wasn't even the most shocking aspect of the evening.

Simon Cowell's teenage girl group Sweet Suspense, who seemed like a worthy candidate to win this season, were voted home. The X Factor judge was stunned.

"I can't believe it," he said, still in shock. "Look girls, it was not your fault, I don't know what happened here. Because, without being rude, there were worse people than you last night."

Sweet Suspense group member Thrasher was surprised but composed herself telling the judges and audience, "I think we're all just so grateful to be here."

The X Factor airs Wednesday and Thursday at 8 PM on FOX.
