Xbox 360 and 3DS Sales Top 2013 UK Charts, PS4 Takes No. 1 Spot for Next-Gen
A report surfaced in the UK that pointed to the Xbox 360 being the top selling home console of 2013 with the 3DS being the top selling handheld.
According to VG247, Microsoft's 360 lead despite suffering a 30.7 percent drop from last year, which was natural due to the age of the console and the debuts of the Xbox One and PS4.
The Nintendo's handheld sales include the 3DS XL and 2DS as well, with the latter two increasing the sales 51 percent. The company's home console, Wii U, increased 41.5 percent, reported VG247.
The data comes from Chart-Track, a UK numbers tracking company that revealed the research in a top 8 list.
Coming third in sales was the PS4, followed by the PS3. Xbox One took fifth place, followed by the PS Vita. Rounding out the bottom of the list was the Wii U and Wii.
Overall video game sales of hardware and systems were up five percent with a 38 percent rise in overall revenue.
