Xbox Backwards Compatibility Update News: Seven New Titles Announced
Seven new titles have been announced for the Xbox backwards compatibility, according to the latest news.
UK's Express reported that the seven titles are "Dragon's Lair," "Tour de France 2011," "Jurassic Park: The Game," "Battlestations: Midway," "Silent Hill: Downpour," "Puzzle Quest" and "Eat Lead."
In "Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard," you play the protagonist Matt Hazard who finds himself in a life-and-death situation when he agrees to star in a new franchise that will pit his skills against some classic videogame villains.
"Battlestations: Midway" is another third-person game where you find yourself in the Pacific during World War II. You control warships, fighter planes and submarines as you try to rally your troops to victory.
In "Dragon's Lair," you become Dirk the Daring, a knight who was given a quest to rescue the princess from the dragon's lair. Along the way, you have to solve puzzles and fight monsters.
It's not clear if there's going to be any more titles for Xbox backwards compatibility for October. We will definitely share the news if that happens.
Meanwhile, Xbox exec Phil Spencer shared the news that they do not fully closed the doors on bringing the Xbox backwards compatibility to the original console.
"We haven't ruled it out but we aren't working on it right now. I'd like to find the time to do it," he tweeted. Although this tweet might be good news for some who are anticipating to play some classic titles on Xbox backwards compatibility, the lack of commitment from Phil Spencer is bad news.
Watch out for more Xbox backwards compatibility news, which will be published here when they come along.
