Xbox One Media Remote Release Date in March: Microsoft Reveals Price, Launches Preview Video Clip of Device

The Xbox One Media Remote is set to be released at the beginning of March for $24.99, and now there is a short video clip of it.

A similar remote for the 360 came out in 2011, and is $19.99.

The Media Remote give owners of the console the ability to control their video playback of Blu-rays and streamed videos, reported Polygon. The top center bottom, OneGuide, will connect to the TV with one quick press. Another cool feature is the remote is motion sensitive and will light up when touched.

The remote was rumored to be coming out on March 4 after an image was leaked out on Amazon. The date has still not been confirmed by Microsoft.

Xbox One recently released an update to help improve user experiences, however, it has been reported that the update is inadvertently bringing a bug to the console that causes the screen to go black.

"If it happens, please power cycle by holding power for 10 seconds," Xbox said on their official Twitter.
Initially the big update was delayed a few days and pushed back to later this week an executive announced on Twitter.

"The February #XboxOne System Update will ship this week, but not today. The team is working on finalizing [it]," said Larry Hryb Twitter.

This first update of the year was supposed to bring a battery signal indicator, USB support for keyboards, system storage management, improved Kinect voice commands, and other features.

Polygon reported that this first update will make way for an even larger one coming in March.
