YouTube Awards 2013: Eminem & Lady Gaga Peforming at First Annual Event November 3rd from New York City (VIDEO)

The Youtube Awards are coming to New York City on November 3rd. 

The first annual awards show created by YouTube and Spike Jonze. The nominees will be the artists and videos you watched, shared, and loved the most over the past year. Voting for the videos opens up on October 17 for the YouTube awards.

The YouTube Music Awards are presented by Kia and will feature performances from Seoul, Moscow, London and Rio and eventually ending up in New York. 

The show will feature several different YouTube performers, as well as some major label stars such as Lady Gaga and Eminem are scheduled to perform.

Having high profile performances by Eminiem and Lady Gaga will definitely help the ratings of the awards show, especially with Eminem, since he has been out of the spotlight for the last few years. 

Chelsea Maughan, YouTube spokesperson, told Mashable, "Music is a huge part of what YouTube is and what YouTube has become to music fans around the world. The YouTube Music Awards represent the next step in terms of celebrating how big music is on YouTube." 

YouTube has been the launching pad for several artists in their music careers including Justin Bieber and Maughn wants that to be celebrated. 

Spike Jonze says he wants the night "feel like a YouTube video itself."
