Zach Galifianakis and Louis C.K. Get Green-lit for Comedy Series Pilot on FX
The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis is joining forces with comedian and actor Louis C.K. for a new comedy series on the FX channel.
FX has ordered a pilot episode for the comedy show featuring and created by Galifianakis. He and C.K. both cowrote the script. Galifianakis, C.K., Andrea Pett-Joseph, Dave Becky, and Marc Gurvitz are all listed as the show's executive producers, according to Eonline.
The Galifianakis pilot will be the first creation under FX Productions' new deal with C.K. and his production company Pig Newton.
FX Productions currently has 12 comedy pilots in development.
The network made the announcement at the 2014 Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press circuit.
Galifianakis' other TV work includes: Bored to Death, Great Job!, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Kroll Show, and a multiple voiceover work on shows such as American Dad and Bob's Burgers.
The Hollywood funnyman is most known for his role as Alan Garner in The Hangover franchise.
In another FX update, Michael Cera has agreed to star opposite John Hawkes in FX's new pilot, How and Why, according to Entertainment Weekly reports.
