Thousands came out over the weekend to hear Luis Palau and Christian Music's biggest names proclaim the good news on the great lawn of Central Park. Singer after singer hit the stage to rejoice with the city in the biggest city fest party of the summer. TobyMac hit the stage just minutes after Palau made the alter call and had one message to all the new believers.

Palau rallied one thousand New York churches together to make history in the big apple. In one of the biggest evangelical moves in New York City in over a decade, approximately 60,000 people gathered to hear the gospel and worship. Thousands did come to faith in Jesus during the event.

Although many believed that the alter call was the end of the good news in the city event, the Palau association saved the best performance for last. After a wild rock set from Argentinian band Rescate, Christian Pioneer TobyMac and the Diverse City band closed out the night with electrifying performances of "Eye on it," "Boomin," "Made to Love," and "Lose my Soul," and more.

"For those people who made a decision tonight for the first time to fall at the feet of our king I wanna say to you, 'Welcome to the family dog!'" Toby shouted out to the crowd.

He then segued into his hit song "Speak Life" by saying, "Everyday we make a choice we can either use our words to drain people or tear them down or we can use our words to speak life."

Central Park was the grand finale of countless CityFest events thrown throughout all of NYC in June and July by the Luis Palau organization. The events are set to continue next month in Madison Square Garden with Chris Tomlin for a night of worship in America.
